Balboa Park's Foreign Arts / House of Hospitality Building

The House of Hospitality, rebuilt in 1997, occupies the southeast corner of the Plaza de Panama. Aerial view from the 1950s shows all four buildings at the four corners of the Plaza de Panama. The first 4 photographs above were taken during the building's original construction for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition; the rest are from the California Pacific Exposition - Donal Hord's statue of The Woman of Tehuantepec, the fountain and south patio of the Casa del Rey Moro Cafe and night views showing dramatic lighting added for 1935.
