SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE:
San Diego commercial photographer L.K. Dewein’s 1920s photographic survey of the San Diego Electric Railway Company shows construction, maintenance, service, and facilities throughout the San Diego area, including National City, Chula Vista, Coronado, Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, and La Jolla. The photographs depict streetcars, conductors, passengers, stations, railroad tracks, construction and maintenance crews, equipment and materials, commercial and residential streets, bridges, buses, news vendors, and advertisements. The collection also includes images of San Diego and Coronado Ferry Company operations and facilities.
