A new KPBS-TV series about California’s early history just got the green light!
Join us for a special kick-off fundraiser to raise $100,000 seed funding for the new Historic Places series about California History.
Learn how the First Peoples lived and survived from the land for thousands of years and how the European settlers arrived in 1769. How the meeting of these two cultures, in what is now San Diego, California, dramatically changes the course of history.
This historically important educational series is in recognition of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of San Diego and California. The series will be part of KPBS-TV local programming and it will be incorporated into the San Diego History Center’s school and public programs for students and museum visitors.
Join Elsa, as she travels to the Tribal Lands and the 21-California Missions to bring the complete story to life!
You too can make history, by helping to preserve our past!
