Panama-California Exposition ~ San Diego ~ 1915-1916
Balboa Park's grounds as they were during the 1915 exposition
The scale of the San Diego Exposition was small and its atmosphere friendly. Though it was likely first-day
visitors were too preoccupied to enjoy them, footpaths, shaded by acacia, pepper, and eucalyptus trees, wound
behind buildings. Seats and ledges were within easy reach.
