Since 1928, we have been the keepers of our region's stories. Now, guided by extensive community input, we are transforming our museum for the future.

This reimagined museum and Research Archives will celebrate San Diego's incredible journey through brand-new experiential exhibits, expanded educational programs, a permanent fine art gallery, a hands-on History Lab, and expanded access to the Research Archives. Committed to representing the diverse cultures that make our region unique, the redesign will prioritize accessibility for all through physical improvements and donation-based admission.
