San Diego: All in a Day’s Work

Exhibition Curator: Greg Williams
Photographs printed by Charles Schneider & Carol Myers
Oral History Research by Sally West

Since the 1950s the volunteers of the San Diego Historical Society Oral History Project have taped and transcribed over 1000 interviews. Capturing, the flavor, texture and views of ordinary citizens, prominent citizens and pioneer families, the Oral Histories in this exhibition reveal the rich and far reaching history of workers and others in San Diego. By complementing both the material in the research archives and the photograph collection, the oral histories allow a fascinating and useful home-grown research source.
