***According to additional information provided by the community on 3/2011: Johnnie Williams attended Memorial Junior High. It was Bert Ritchey who was the 1st African American detective in San Diego. Johnnie Williams passed away in 2010 but his wife, Ivy, still owns a clothes cleaners on the corner of 26th and Imperial.
