**Additional information from the community on 3/2011: Muhammad Ali came to San Diego to be trained by boxing champion Archie Moore. Ali lived with Moore who had him washing dishes and doing chores in exchange for trainig, room and board. Moore believed that Ali would be a champion boxer one day.
***Additional information from the community on 3/2011: Muhammad Ali was suspended at this time because he was a conscientious objector to the Vietnam War. He traveled during this time.
