Additional information provided by the community on 3/2011: This event is being held at Bethel A.M.E. (Reverend Therion Cobb). This room is now the Fellowship Hall, but once was the church itself. A “Tom Thumb” wedding was a fundraiser held by the church, where the parents of the children who donated the most got money got to be the bride and groom. The children are as follows: Front row: Girl on the far right – Gussie Spencer; third girl from the right – Diane Ritchey; fourth girl from the right – Pat Blake; sixth girl from the right – Sharon Spencer. Back row first girl on the right – Sherron Morgan; sixth girl from the right – Trina Brigham; Boy directly in front of her is Lloyd Tooks, and next to him on the left is Charles Ward. Child to the left of Charles Ward with his hands over his face is Lawrence Tooks.
