(Documentary Artifact): One hand-colored lantern slide of a portrait of a Hopi Antelope Priest with torso and arms painted with white zig-zag designs. He wears necklaces and a loin cloth. He stands in a pit (or kiva, see Scholar Advisory Committee notes below) with two wooden poles behind him.

According to additional information provided on 12/2011 by a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: The priest is most likely coming up the ladder from the semi-subterranean ceremonial house, called a kiva.
