(Documentary Artifact): One hand-colored lantern slide of a view of the Topock Maze or ‘Mystic Maze.’ Notes from the Davis Negative Log Book state: ‘The ‘Mystic Maze’ windrows of soil & rock formed in the desert possibly by Mojave tribe at Topock, AZ, near Needles. At one time there were two figures outlined by rock but have disappeared probably by railroad builders. The paths between windrows may have been used as lanes for ceremonial races.’
