(Documentary Artifact): Two b/w photographic prints of Company D of the Fort Rosecrans Artillery after firing the third salute in honor of Max Morelli at his funeral at the Mesa Chiquita cemetery in Mesa Grande. Max Morelli was a member of Co. D of the Fort Rosecrans Artillery.

According to additional information provided by the community on 11/2011: They died of tuna botulism poisoning. Their son (Eugene Morelli) was re-buried in Mesa Grande in 11/2011. He was a prisoner of war in Korea with the 15th Artillery Division.
