(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of a full length portrait of Antonio Balenzuela (or Valenzuela) standing in front of an adobe brick structure. He holds a sword and has a gun in a holster strapped around his waist. Photograph may have been taken in July 1909 rather than 1907 (from original negative envelope). He may be from Pala or Mesa Grande.

According to additional information provided by the community on 10/2011: His brothers were Santos and Lucas. Santos was married to Salvadora Griffith of Pala. Antonio Balenzuela’s last name is sometimes spelled Valenzuela. They lived on a Spanish land grant.
