According to additional information provided on 12/2011 by Richard Carrico, a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: Owas (Awas) Lopez was married to Santo (Sant) Lopez. He was born of a Kiliwa mother in the desert. Owas served as a consultant to Malcolm J. Rogers and made a series of Tizon Brown Ware vessels for Rogers to show him the stages of ceramic manufacture. Rogers published this important information with photos of Owas in Rogers, Malcolm J. 1936, Yuman Pottery Making. San Diego Museum Papers No. 2.
