(Documentary Artifact): Two b/w photographic prints of a group of people gathered, some holding tall wooden poles for making a house for Images (ceremonial figures) for Keruk (Karuk or Koo-Rook) ceremony. Notes on the verso of one of the prints state: ‘Bringing in the materials to make the KOO-ROOK Image house of women wailing + pouring libations of corn + wheat over the poles + materials. Aug. 24 1908.’
