As part of the History Center’s America 250 commemoration\, this special Women’s Equality Day program will examine how women’s leadership has expanded civic participation\, increased access to opportunity\, and helped shape a more representative democracy.  \nThe evening will feature a panel discussion moderated by award-winning journalist Sandra Maas. \nPanelists will include: \nGail Friedt\, Chair\, San Diego City Commission on the Status of Women \nDr. Amy Nantkes\, Commissioner\, San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls  \nJane Andrews\, President\, League of Women Voters San Diego  \nDr. Kimala Price\, Chair\, San Diego State University Women’s\, Gender\, and Sexuality Studies  \nWomen’s Equality Day is observed annually on August 26 to commemorate the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920\, which granted women the constitutional right to vote.  \nGeneral tickets: $35\nMember: $25 \n				\n			 \n				REGISTER NOW\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n			 			\n			\n
