Learn how to recognize and report hate crimes\, and about the supportive services available for hate crime victims. \nAfter the presentation\, participants will walk about 50 yards to the Harvey Milk bench where historian and exhibition curator Lillian Faderman will say a few words about Milk. This year is the 40th anniversary of his murder. Then we will take a candlelight walk across the Cabrillo Bridge to reassemble near the Kate Sessions statue to say a few words in memory of hate crimes victims. \nThis program is the first in a series at the History Center devoted to Battling Hate & Building Understanding.
