She has worked on the effects of the Kumeyaay language and culture on perspectives of the relationship of humans to nature and the world around them. She is an Assistant Professor at California State University\, Long Beach. \n \nMichael Connolly Miskwish has authored many papers on tribal economics\, Kumeyaay history\, and resource management. He has three published books on Kumeyaay history and cosmology. He works as a consultant in economics\, traditional environmental knowledge\, and Kumeyaay history.
