DESCRIPTION:\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					FAMILY PROGRAM: Lei Making\nJanuary 26\, 2025\,Noon – 3:00 PM \n				\n			 \n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n					\n \n				\n			 \n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Join us on Sunday\, January 26\, for a free lei-making event hosted by Hui O Hawaii of San Diego\, celebrating the Aloha Vaqueros exhibition and the blend of San Diego\, Mexican\, and Hawaiian cowboy cultures. \nWe’ll be making ‘kupeʻe\,’ wristlets or anklets crafted from ti leaves (‘lāʻī’)\, using the ‘hilo’ lei-making style\, similar to cordage making. \nThis fun family event\, proudly sponsored by Alaska Airlines\, is open to all ages and will take place in the atrium of our Balboa Park museum from Noon to 3 PM. \n				\n			 \n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n					\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n					\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n					\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n					\n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n			 			\n			\n
