She will also describe their segregation into remote incarceration camps during World War II\, and the process of rebuilding their lives in San Diego afterwards. This presentation is timely\, it has now been 80 years since President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Executive Order which allowed the US Army to begin relocating all Japanese from the West Coast. \nLinda’s talk will be illustrated with photographs and documents from the JAHSSD collection. \nDate/Time: April 12\, 2022 12pm-1pm\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n					Presenter:Linda Canada \nBio:Linda Canada holds an undergraduate degree in History from UCLA and a law degree from Loyola University in Los Angeles. Twenty years after leaving her legal practice she still considers herself a “recovering lawyer” and has worked exclusively in the field of local history. From 2005-2017 Linda served as the archivist for the Japanese American Historical Society of San Diego (JAHSSD) and was its President 2009-2012.
