DESCRIPTION:\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					Julius Shulman’s Modern San Diego\nTuesday\, July 12\, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm \n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n					 \nABOUT THE EVENT Across seven decades\, widely acclaimed architectural photographer Julius Shulman captured a trajectory of growth and modernity as San Diego County’s built environment matured. This presentation draws from nearly two decades of research documenting over 200 projects by Shulman across San Diego County\, photographed between 1934-2007\, and connects the resources of an Diego Downtown Library\, La Jolla Historical Society and the Getty Research Institute. Additionally\, it weaves together interviews and time spent with Julius Shulman in his studio in the early 2000s. \n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n					 \n\nlaunched modernsandiego.com two decades ago in an attempt to catalog the widely acclaimed and lesser-known architects and designers that helped shape the metropolitan area and extensive suburbs through the 20th Century. Keith is recognized internationally for restoring the Bobertz House\, Craig Ellwood’s only project in San Diego\, and shining a light on Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Sim Bruce Richards by restoring his personal residence replete with a collection of art\, furnishings and ephemera native to San Diego. also served as curator for two separate exhibitions in 2019-2020\, Julius Shulman: Modern San Diego and Julius Shulman: Modern La Jolla. \n				\n			 \n				RESERVATION JULY\, 12 2022 (12PM-1PM)\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n			 			\n			\n
