To the Ends of the Earth: A Portrait of Jewish San Diego

“To the Ends of the Earth: A Portrait of Jewish San Diego,” a co-production of Cinewest Productions and the San Diego History Center, is based on over 50 interviews conducted by local filmmaker, Isaac Artenstein, including descendants of early Jewish pioneers, scientists, entrepreneurs, academics as well as avant-garde artists, rabbis, and surfers. It creates a living portrait of a vibrant and culturally-dynamic community that has thrived in our region for over 150 years.

These touching, inspiring, and informative stories explain why San Diego’s Jewish community was unique to all others in California. Recently screened at the San Diego Jewish Film Festival, you can own a copy of this compelling narrative.
