Hula and ‘ukulele workshop presented by Hui O Hawaii

Hui O Hawaii of San Diego is hosting a free hula and ‘ukulele workshop at our museum in Balboa Park! This special event celebrates the Aloha Vaqueros exhibition and the rich blend of San Diego, Mexican, and Hawaiian cowboy cultures.

Along with the dance experience, you’re welcome to bring a ‘ukulele* and join in! We’ll guide participants in playing and dancing to this beautiful mele (song).

Hula Workshops: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM
‘Ukulele Workshops: 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM

*Basic ʻukulele instruction will be given. Participants must supply their own ʻukulele. Comfortable attire is recommended.
