Join the History Center as we celebrate the opening of America at 250: San Diego 1776-2026. David Miller and Andy Strathman, editors of The Journal of San Diego History, will introduce the exhibit by presenting a talk on how the San Diego story reflects 250 years of the American experience. After, explore the exhibit with History Center staff and researchers.
 
Bios: 

David Miller David Miller holds a PhD from UC San Diego, specializing in 19th-century social and cultural history. He teaches U.S. history at the University of San Diego and brings his passion for regional storytelling to his role as co-editor of The Journal of San Diego History.

Theodore “Andy” Strathman Theodore “Andy” Strathman earned his PhD from UC San Diego, focusing on local water politics. He teaches U.S. and California history at Cal State San Marcos and serves alongside David as the co-editor of The Journal of San Diego History.
