(Documentary Artifact): Two b/w photographic prints of an outdoor portrait of a Huichol messenger, Caledonio Carrillo. Edward H. Davis traded with him a bow and arrows for the manta hanging at his side.

(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of a group of Huichol boys and men with bows and arrows for hunting. Notes in Davis Negative Log Book state: ‘Note embroidered girdles and pouches worn by hunters. Several such bags hang from woven string at waist. A dozen may be worn at ceremonies.’

(Documentary Artifact): Four b/w photographic prints of a Huichol man wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat, tunic, woven cloth belt, and woven bags over his shoulders and at the waist. Edward H. Davis met this man at a junction of two creeks on the trail to San Andres.
