(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print showing members of Davis’ party and a group of Mexican men near a small boat and a beached balsa (raft) on the Sonora Coast near Kino Bay. Alcatraz Island is in the distance. Notes on the verso of the print state: ‘Landing on beach opposite Alcatraz Island + met by Mexicans who intended to ambush + kill us had we been Seri Inds.
