(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of a man looking down a large hole. He wears a wide-brimmed hat, shirt, pants, leather shoes, and large knife in sheath at his hip.
Notes in the negative log book state that the photograph was taken at ‘San Miguel or San Miguelito – a small village between San Jose del Cabo and Santa Anita which features a very large painted rock. Pericue Indian Tribe.’
Notes on verso of print:
OP 14961-288/ 88:17050-288/ 26-1/ 26/ April 24, 1926/ 4/24/26/ Pot hole below painted rock boulder, over 6′ deep, 41 in/ diameter.
