According to additional information provided on 10/2011 by Ken Hedges, Emeritus Curator of California Collections, San Diego Museum of Man and a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: ‘Monkey Hills’ is Monkey Hill, located in the Lake Henshaw Basin about 6.5 miles southwest of Warner Springs; when the lake is full it is sometimes called Monkey Island. Monkey Hill is the site of a major Late Prehistoric/Historic occupation site.
