According to additional information provided on 10/2011 by a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: Note the cloth sheet or material in the right hand side ramada. This is usually a visiting family’s sleeping area. The sheets of cloth were covering the walls and ceiling so that insects and willow leaves did not drop down on the people during sleep or during cooking. Benches were made for the visitors to watch the festivities.
