*According to additional information provided by the community on 10/2011: Catherine (Welch) Banegas came from Capitan Grande. She was born in 1908 and would be 9 years old in this photo. She married Edward (Eddie) I. Welch and had five children, Maxine, Virginia, Margaret, Edward, Robert.

**According to additional information provided on 12/2011 by a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: This is Catherine Banegas Welch. As an adult, she served the longest, as of 2011, with a continuous administration of 20 years as Barona Chairwoman 1948-1968.
