(Documentary Artifact): One b/w negative of a view of John Reed, superintendent, standing outside the mouth of a mine with a pickaxe at his feet. He holds a candle in a candlestick holder in his left hand. According to notes on the original negative envelope, this is the ‘Lithia mine’ or most likely known as the Stewart Lithia mine at Pala.
