(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of Mrs. Le Mue, an Oneida woman with her back to the camera. Her long hair hangs loose and she wears an Apache girl’s buckskin suit used for girl’s coming out ceremony.

Same image as the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) negative, N34919 and print P02195. According to catalog record for this image, the woman is Mrs. G. Le Mieux (or Ophelia Powless Le Mieux, an Oneida woman working on the White Mountain Reservation) wearing a blouse and skirt in collection of NMAI (094065.000, 094064.00). Clothing was worn in Puberty Ceremony.
