(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of Davis’ Indian guide and interpreter, Juan Pablo, standing behind the shrine and grave of the martyred children of the Tohono O’odham (Papago) near Santa Rosa, Arizona. The grave and shrine consist of a pile flat stones surrounded by a fence with four entrances on the north, south, east, west sides. The fence is made of peeled ocotillo, a desert plant.
