(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of Jose Alvarez. According to notes on the verso of the print, he wears a King’s crown and holds a rattle and an item with small feathers, possibly called palma.

Same image as the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) print, P03900A. According to catalog record for this image, his name is spelled Jose Chavez. The headdress and dance wand or baton are in the collection of NMAI (104756.000 and 104760.000).
