(Documentary Artifact): Two b/w photographic prints of a view of the remains of a church and bell tower in Onavas, Sonora, Mexico with a boy standing in the foreground. Notes on the verso of the print state: ‘The blank wall opposite the boy was the place of execution. This church was the citadel of defense and its 6 ft. adobe walls. Impervious to rifle fire, protected its inhabitants from Yaqui raids and attacks by revolutionistas.’
