(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of a Yaqui Indian man sitting in a chair outdoors, playing a harp. Notes on the verso of the print state: Davis wrote ‘The tone, for a rude instrument, was very good indeed. The post was of pine. The curved stick with pegs was of cottonwood with creosote pegs. The belly of the sound box was of pine and the sides & back of thin redwood. It was put together with brads & pegs and in the hands of a credible player would yield remarkable harmony.’
