(Documentary Artifact): One b/w photographic print of Roberto Thomson in the opening to a water hole or reservoir used by Seri Indians. The watering hole is 10 or 12 feet deep in a canyon in the mountains on Tiburon Island.
Same image as the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) print, P03774. According to catalog record for this image, ‘The opening of the sloping, spiral shaft descends 12 feet to a pool of water; Seri Indians used large clam shells as shovels to remove the dirt; located six miles from the shore.’
