“Little People” signed the backs of these postcards for Exposition visitors and often included their age, height and weight. During Children’s Day, Jack Dempsey, world’s heavyweight boxing champion from 1919 to 1926, refereed a bout between midget boxers. For the 1936 season, in place of Midget Village, vaudeville impresarios Fanchon and Marco managed a Mickey Mouse Circus. Midgets had full-size elephants as playmates and dinner guests.
