Join Jim Jessop, San Diego History Center Trustee, as he shares his family’s story behind one of San Diego’s most iconic civic landmarks—the historic Jessop Street Clock.

Through Jim’s storytelling, discover the remarkable ingenuity of his grandfather, Joseph Jessop, who hand-built the clock in 1905 in downtown San Diego, and how Joseph’s five sons helped grow J. Jessop and Sons Jewelers into a thriving local business.

Jim’s account comes full circle with the family’s decision to move the beloved Jessop Clock into the San Diego History Center, ensuring its place in the city’s story for generations to come.
