Innovation Tour 2026: Behind the Scenes at Taylor Guitars

The San Diego History Center invites you to kick off our 2026 Innovation Tour series on Wednesday, January 28 at 9:30 a.m. with an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Taylor Guitars, one of San Diego’s most celebrated creative innovators.

Founded in 1974, Taylor Guitars reflects San Diego’s spirit of craftsmanship and innovation. From pioneering sustainable wood practices to advancing the art and science of guitar-building, Taylor’s instruments have shaped the sound of world-renowned artists including Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, and U2’s The Edge.

During this special tour, guests will learn about Taylor’s history, meticulous craftsmanship, and global impact—and how a local workshop grew into an internationally respected brand.
