Honoring Our Cultural Icons

FEBRUARY 22, 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

The San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art will host its annual Keepers of the Culture event, in collaboration with the San Diego History Center.

Join us in as we honor true cultural icons:

The Cooper Family Foundation: Community activists for the Juneteenth holiday
Ron Dhanifu: Renowned jazz radio programmer.
Martha R. Logan: Leader of the historically Black Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) sorority.

The doors will open at 5 pm for a reception featuring The Kamau Kenyatta Trio.
The program will begin at 6 pm.

This event is free but space is limited and reservations are required.

The Keepers of the Culture event is made possible through generous donations including the Cathy Paulette Hamilton Memorial Fund.
