Nature Improved

San Diego History Center (SDHC) and Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) have collaborated with local art scholars to produce a two-museum art exhibition that offers visitors a unique and diverse perspectives from which to view our region’s landscape. The installation, titled, Nature Improved: San Diego Artists Interpret Our Landscape, will open at SDHC on September 19th and at OMA on October 26 and will continue through January 26, 2014.

The dual exhibition—the first such collaboration between SDHC and OMA—is a juried invitational art show with submissions from local artists. The exhibition will present approximately 25-30 regional artists and comprise 60-80 artworks in total, created in a variety of media, and will be split evenly between the two sites.

Bram Dijkstra, renowned author and art scholar, is the lead curator of the exhibition as well as one of the jurors.
