With sadness, the San Diego History Center notes the passing of Margaret “Peg” Marston, keeper of the legendary Marston family legacy of generosity and support of San Diego and San Diegans.
Reflections:
“The San Diego History Center would not exist without the inspiration and generosity of George Marston. The contributions of the Marston family to our community are significant. Peg was a lovely, gracious and dignified lady who carried on the family tradition. She will be missed.”
Jane Fetter
“Peg Marston should not only be remembered as representing one of San Diego’s most important and generous founding families but as a caring, thoughtful and friendly person in her own life.”
Iris Engstrand, PhD
Professor Emerita, University of San Diego
“Peg was a gentle, wonderful woman. The Marston family was blessed to have her join that remarkable family. Where would San Diego be without the Marstons?”
Klonie Kunzel
