San Diego History Center Partners with NBC 7

San Diego History Center is modernizing the video tape archives from NBC San Diego, digitizing the video of some of San Diego’s history and preserving it. Thousands of interviews and stories from 1976 to 2012 are being catalogued. The NBC archives join The San Diego History Center’s collection of more than 2.5 million images, 45 million documents, 1,700 pieces of fine art, and 1,500 oral histories. Bill Lawrence, President & CEO of the San Diego History Center said, “Journalists are on the front lines of recording history as its being made. The NBC 7 News Archive will be an invaluable source of information for future generations to understand how the past has shaped the San Diego we know today.”
