According to additional information provided on 10/2011 by a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: The cleared spaces in the desert pavement may be what is known as ‘sleeping circles’.

According to additional information provided on 10/2011 by Ken Hedges, Emeritus Curator of California Collections, San Diego Museum of Man and a member of the E.H. Davis Project Scholar Advisory Committee: ‘Harpers’ would be Harpers Well in the San Felipe Creek drainage southwest of the southern end of the Salton Sea.
