(Documentary Artifact): Two b/w photographic prints of two elderly women, (L-R) Guadalupe (also spelled Guadaloupe) and Juana. They sit on the ground outside of a shelter built of branches and logs. An unfinished basket is on the ground in front of Guadalupe. According to notes on the original negative envelope, they are mother and daughter.

(Documentary Artifact): Four b/w photographic prints of Teckle Piapa (also spelled Teck’le Piapa/Paipa) kneeling on the ground outdoors and grinding wheat or acorns with a stone metate and mano. A shallow basket is at the end of the metate. Another shallow basket is on the ground nearby. Trees visible in the background.
