The San Diego History Center is pleased to present a four-part series called “Conversations in San Diego History.” In the premiere episode, host Elsa Sevilla and Dr. Seth Mallios, Professor of Anthropology at SDSU, discuss the similarities between the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-1919 and the current COVID-19 crisis. Dr. Mallios, who has studied the Spanish Flu pandemic extensively, also talks about the contemporary issues that may arise from and traditional services that may be impacted by the current crisis.
