Wendy McKinney Joins San Diego History Center as Chief Development Officer

The San Diego History Center is pleased to announce that Wendy McKinney has joined the San Diego History Center as Chief Development Officer (CDO).

In her role as Chief Development Officer, Wendy works with Members, Trustees, and Donors to create investment in philanthropic support to advance the mission of the San Diego History Center. She previously has worked with the San Diego Chapter of the American Red Cross and Neighborhood House.

“Wendy is a dynamic professional and we are excited to have her join the San Diego History Center team” says Bill Lawrence, President & CEO. “Her record of community involvement and development success will be critical as we broaden the community scope of the San Diego History Center and to connect the present to the past and future of our region”.

Wendy McKinney is a seasoned development professional with more than 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and fundraising in the financial services industry and non-profit sector. Most recently, Wendy served as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the American Red Cross of San Diego and Imperial Counties.

McKinney shares, “I am honored and I look forward to the opportunity to work with the San Diego History Center to help share and connect the story of America’s finest city to the community, one experience at a time!”
